2016 was a Great Year “Under the Oaks” at Silverado Golf & Country Club. We have continued the tradition as THE COMMUNITY GOLF COURSE IN ZEPHYRHILLS. Part of what makes our community so unique is the generosity and involvement of small businesses, large corporations and countless individuals who give their time, effort and money to so many worthy causes. There are too many to mention in this forum but some of the most notable events and tournaments that we helped with in 2016 are: Thomas Promise; Support the Troops; 1st United Methodist Church of Zephyrhills (and Brandon as well); Misfits Softball; ZHS Boys and Girls Golf Teams; Zephyrhills Chamber of Commerce and Rotary Noon Club; Samaritan Project; Girl Scouts of America.
Some of our Corporate Partners included:
Bahr’s AC and Gas; Nestle Corporation (Zephyrhills Water); Jarrett- Martin Ford; Major League Auto Glass; San Antonio FCU; Centerstate Bank; Ryman Construction and Roofing; Lance Smith Real Estate; and Silverado CC (Brantley Smith) for allowing us to not only make money for the course but more often than not to “give away or help raise” over $100,000 for many of the local non- profit charities in our town.
A sincere “THANK YOU” goes out to all of our community partners, businesses, volunteers and staff without whose help we could put these events on. Finally, let me just say a quick word about our golfers and their huge hearts. I have been at 4 different facilities in the past 16 years and the generosity of the players at Silverado is unmatched. Any time we have a charity tournament we know that we will get local support from the golfers and patrons of Silverado Golf & Country Club.
